Tavor ts12 for sale
Tavor ts12 for sale. The IWI Tavor TS12 is a gas-regulated semi-automatic 12-gauge bullpup shotgun. It’s from Israel, and the Israelis often develop innovative solutions from some combination of unique experiences, unique constraints or unique situations.
So as if being a 12-gauge gas-regulated bullpup shotgun wasn’t unusual enough, the remarkable Tavor TS12 has not one, but three non-detachable magazines. These can be rotated into place either clockwise or counterclockwise and in any order and then locked in place with the magazine locking lever that faces the trigger.
But there’s more that astonishes. These magazines are dual purpose and can hold either five 2 ¾” shells or four 3” shells. In total, the three magazines can hold 12 to 15 shells plus another one can go in the chamber. There’s also a release button behind the grip on each side to discharge shells one by one.
As with other bullpup guns, beauty, if any, is in the eye of the beholder. The gun is futuristic. Remove the pistol grip and flip it over and you’d have an impressive looking space-ship for a sci-fi flick. But aesthetics are of little import in the face of extraordinary ability and a rigorous feature set.
The gun comes without any sights, but it’s set up for them. Across the top of the receiver and accessory friendly M-LOK type handguard is a very long MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail.
It’s compatible with Benelli or Beretta types of choke tubes and comes with Mobil chokes.
The gas system is adjustable for use with both heavy (for 3” shells) and light (for 2 ¾”) loads.
The body is made of reinforced polymer. On it is an ambidextrous two-position safety with fire and safe settings. The gun also has a cross-bolt safety. The gun can be field striped without any special tools.
The buttstock is sizeable, which helps shift the center of gravity toward the back of the gun. Enhancing portability, the TS12 has two quick-detachable swivel mounts and four sling attachment points.
IWI is Israeli Weapons Industries, so it’s perhaps no surprise that the Tavor TS12 bullpup semi-automatic rifle is named after Mount Tabor, a historic Israeli mountain. And yet ironically, considering the vast size of Mount Tabor, the IWI Tavor TS12 is compact. Very compact. And this is what makes it so popular. To wit, the TS12 has an 18.5” long smoothbore barrel but overall length is only 28.34”. Height from top down to the bottom of the pistol grip is 10.23? and weight is only 8.0 pounds.
The TS12 semi-automatic comes in black, field dark earth and olive drab and is designed for right-hand operation only.
